My debut solo exhibition Temple, Rock, Cloud, at the Bakehouse Art Complex, Miami’s oldest studio compound, realized the premise of my foundational Passed Lives’ Excessive Future Foundation brochure work: The Green Room for Man Made Mystery, an incubator for supernatural possibility, capable of opening portals into liminal zones. Via the potentiality of inert green screen paint and the amplification of the “ghost” frequency, the installation channeled a specter of Gallery 825, the room of painted masterpieces by Nicolas Poussin in the Louvre Museum; challenging the validity of the art space as a site for the uncanny while interrogating hauntologies of modern and contemporary practices.
